I’m doing A2 Level ICT, and for our coursework we have to design a website specially for a business or other organisation (e.g. a band). I’ve done wb design before, but this is going to be treated like a real project, so if anyone needs a website I can do it for free (although you’ll have to find your web host etc yourself). I would obviously prefer to do something that interests me (e.g. extreme metal) but will accept pretty much any project. If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch.
Thing is, we’ve to either make something up or do it on an existing business. However you have to have the business’s permission so you do not violate the copyright laws. And, I mean extreme metal music

Chosen Answer:

Get some free hosting. Password protect a folder on your domain. Make up a name for a band, either of your own device or some extinct outfit. Build your website. Give it pages for, say, about xyz, gig guide, gallery, management, press room, feedback, downloads. FTP site up to protected area.
Now you have a site for your hypothetical extreme metal outfit that can only be accessed by password holders (tutors etc). Leave a robots.txt file in the root folder to tell ‘em to not index the site. Should do the trick up to a point. If you have to use brand names, always add an ‘all trademarks and logos acknowledged’ statement and add the customary C + R devices alongside known trademarks etc.

Chosen Answer:

First, you must NEVER try to configure a router from a wireless connection, only wired. Wireless has a habit of locking you out in the middle of changes and this can result in an unusable router. Second you have far too many connections listed. You should only have connections set up that you actually use. I assume you use a Hamachi account for file sharing. If not dump the connection. And all the tunnelling connections can cause conflicts on the machine. So unless you actually seriously need all of these get rid of them If ipconfig can not complete the list, nor can your network control. you don’t say which ip address you are using for the router.

Well their was this co-worker I used to work with about two years ago at IHOP when I was a host who always sniffed his upper lip all the time. Sometimes I wondered what did it smell like that made him do it so much. So, why do you think people sniff their upper lip like this:http://a2.ec-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/102/b4ea9f43c46f20f95a0daa6f141d2b78/l.jpg

BQ: Do you sniff your upper lip?
BQ2: What’s a funny smell that you know it does not smell great, but yet you still smell it?
No, it does not. It just warps time perception, like 1 minute feels like 3 minutes. Your mouth gets super dry and you get the munchies. After that when it goes down, you feel very sleepy. Don’t try it.
Yes the guy was black with Jay-Z looking lips.
Ashi: Cause Common asked on his details and he took it off…

Chosen Answer:

Haha, no idea. When you ask questions in caps it sounds like you’re yelling, and it makes it that much funnier.

BQ: Not really
BQ3: I can’t smell sh*t right now, I have a cold

Chosen Answer:

You’re probably limited to AGP video cards. In that case, your best bet is the ATI 3650. You can get it for around on Newegg.com. There’s just not much sense in spending more on such an old system with such a limited upgrade path. You’d be better off purchasing a whole new system. Even a 0-800 system will perform at least 4x as well in new games. If you’re unable to afford such a large upgrade, the best possible AGP card you can get is the ATI 3850. This will be bottlenecked by your slow processor, though. It costs ~0.

As for power supplies, a 400w one will be sufficient. Good brands are PC Power and Cooling, Seasonic, Corsair, Antec, Silverstone, and Enhance. You’re looking at -80.

Chosen Answer:

Depending on what your doing it can be good or bad, if your a hard core gamer, well these specs will barely make it, other than that its pretty decent. You might want to increase the RAM from 1 GB to about 4 Gigs which gives it a tremendous boost.

I had to uninstall and reinstall windows on my computer because of a virus that just wouldn’t die. So after re-installing it, I discover that I don’t have any sound on my computer.

I know that I just need to find the right drivers in order to have sound again but the thing is…my computer is a custom built. The store I got it from is about an hour from my home and I don’t have time to go up there for them to keep my computer overnight just to install the driver.

They can’t tell me what I have on here without seeing it because they don’t keep records of the towers that they build. They told me to open up the side panel and look for the part number but the only one I see is for the 56k modem part from Gateway.

Here’s the Belarc Advisor profile for my computer:

I know this computer has sound! I got it about 2 years ago and the sound worked the whole time. This is the first time I had to re-install my Windows.

Thank you for all the help in advance!

Chosen Answer:

All these informations you gave are not necessary in your case. Your machine brand is the most important thing. click start, all programs, accessories, system tools, click system information and take notice of your brand, model of machine.
Your sound driver has been removed when you reinstalled, all you have to do now is, incase you donot know the site to your machine brand/model, use www.google.com to search for it, download sound driver and install on your machine.
This should work out for you. Take not of this, make sure you download a sound driver that suits your machine (xp service pack 2 or so on).

Hope this is cuul for ya.

If you can’t find the right drivers manually I would recommend just getting a software program that can do it for you. There is a program I use which will find drivers for just about all hardware devices. The best part is it takes a snapshot of your system specifications and matches the right driver to go with it. Perform a free driver scan at:

All of my drivers are Microsoft signed. The device manager doesn’t show any hardware that needs to be fixed (there are no glowing exclamation marks next to anything). I have “some” sound, but it is garbled and barely understandable. Can anyone help? I have researched this on Google for countless hours without any success.
Ok. Relax.
I had the same prob. But i was making mistake at the time of drivers installation. When we install driver for the first time after formatting and installing windows. At the time of installation of each driver a window appears, “found new hardware” and it asks to download drivers from internet or install manually. So we dont need to touch this window at all. Let it be. It appears and go itself automatically.
If u will play with this window, ur drivers will not get installed correctly.
So, pls take care of this only.
If u have the correct drivers, or cd of it. Then format ur computer and try it again.

*If u r making same mistake as i did. Then and then only this ans will help u.

Confurm, ur drivers r getting installed directly. In some cases, they get just extracted on windows drive in a folder and then u have to install them manually.

Thank u.
